Meet Our Team

James Walker, DDS

Dr. Walker is a Cedar Rapids native, and attended Washington High School.  He completed his undergraduate studies, and dental school at the University of Iowa, graduating in 2010.  Following graduation he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and the Iowa City VA Hospital.

Dr. Walker, and his wife Marcy are avid fans of Iowa Football.  They enjoy spending fall Saturdays cheering on the Hawkeyes.  Some of his hobbies include biking, reading, traveling, playing with his golden retriever, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Marcy Walker

Dr. Marcy Walker was born and raised in south central Minnesota.  She attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate degree and dental training.  She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2007.  After graduation she completed a one-year dental implant training.  In 2008 she opened Hawkeye Family Dental in Iowa City.  After nearly 13 year of providing general dental care to patients of all ages, she decided to sell her office and join her husband Dr. James Walker at Indian Creek Dental.  Marcy’s list of hobbies is endless but some of her top favorites include: spending time with her husband and their twins, Beau and Genevieve; volunteering at their elementary school; crafting; taking Mia, their golden retriever, for walks, gardening; and cooking.  Dr. Marcy Walker is excited to work with each patient to help them get a smile they love!

Katie

Katie was born and raised in Marion, Iowa where she graduated from Marion High School.  She received her AAS in dental assisting from Kirkwood Community College before moving to Wisconsin.  While in Wisconsin she used her dental assisting degree and her managing skills to coordinate a mobile dental program for area schools.  Katie moved back to Marion to be closer to family.  She joined Indian Creek Dental early in 2023 and has quickly put her skills to work.  She has loved meeting patients and enjoys really getting to know them.  She is already working to improve the oral health of area children by teaching preventive skills in our area schools.

Jill

Jill was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she graduated from Kennedy High School.  She later attended Kirkwood Community College for dental assisting and then dental hygiene.  Jill joined Indian Creek Dental in 2020, but had worked with Dr. Walker earlier in their careers. Jill enjoys helping people improve their smile and educating them on how they can keep them for a lifetime.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time fixing up her house, spending time with friends and running after her 4 Shih Tzu rescues.  Jill loves her patients and can’t wait to help their smile and share the amazing view from the office.   

Katie

Katie was born in Boone, Iowa and graduated from Boone High School.  She graduated from the dental hygiene program at Kirkwood Community College.  She is the newest addition to Indian Creek Dental but is already loving getting to know all the patients.  When Katie is not at work, she is enjoying time with her husband and pets. She has a dog named Sage and a cat named Kingston. 

Hailey

Hailey is from Robins, Iowa.  She graduated from Xavier High School and then went on to complete three degrees from Kirkwood Community College.  While obtaining her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene degree, she was on the Dean’s list for five semesters.  Hailey loves to support and educate her patients about their oral health.  She is so excited to meet everyone and help them improve their smile.  Hailey is interested in finding the best preventive options for her patients, and has completed several training certifications on these topics.  When Hailey isn’t at work, she is enjoying time with her family.  Hailey is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two amazing daughters.  Hailey is active in her church and community and is driven to improve the lives of those around her.  We can’t wait for you to get to meet Hailey, and she eager to meet all of the patients at Indian Creek Dental.

Michelle

Michelle grew up in Iowa and has been working as a dental assistance since 1995.  She loves getting to know the patients and working in the dental field.  Michelle joined Indian Creek Dental in 2022 and has loved meeting so many wonderful patients. Outside of work, Michelle is a mom who enjoys spending time with her kids and dogs.  She also enjoys biking and hiking on the trails in the area, along with visit all the coffee shops wherever she goes. 

Paige

Paige was born and raised in Walker, Iowa where she graduated from North Linn High School.  She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Iowa in May 2023.  Paige recently joined Indian Creek Dental as a dental assistant. Paige is hoping to attend the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and be a part of the class of 2028.  She is excited to be a part of the team and wants to learn as much as possible before she starts dental school.  When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends; going to Iowa football games; and spending time with her dog, Wellington Ann.
